Ahmedabad, July 21, 2025: The Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA), in collaboration with the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) Ahmedabad Chapter and Anant National University, successfully celebrated "World PR Day 2025." The event brought together key figures from the public relations and information sectors to discuss the evolving landscape of PR.
Distinguished speakers from the Information and Broadcasting Department, Government of Gujarat, Shri K.L. Bachani IAS, Director of Information; Dr. Sanjay Kachot, Joint Director (Administration); and Shri Amitsinh Chauhan, Assistant Director of Information shared their insights on the theme "Trust, Transparency, and Technology: A New Age of Public Relations."
Highlighting the critical role of effective communication, Director of Information Mr. K.L. Bachani recounted the Information Department's exemplary public relations efforts during the Ahmedabad plane crash incident. Mr. K. L. Bachani said that the Information Department did public relations work with coherence, cohesion, and coordination in the Ahmedabad plane crash accident.
The Information Department has provided an excellent example of crisis communication. It is commendable that PRSI Ahmedabad Chapter has organized a public relations talk on this topic on the occasion of Public Relations Day. Mr. Bachani also acknowledged the continuous guidance from Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, Minister Shri Hrishikeshbhai Patel, and Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Smt. Avantika Singh, IAS, as instrumental to the success of their crisis communication endeavors.
The celebration saw the participation of numerous dignitaries and professionals, including Assistant Public Relations Officer to the Chief Minister Shri Vivek Trivedi; Deputy Information Director of Ahmedabad Shri Himanshubhai Upadhyay; various officers and employees from the Information Department; members of the PRSI Ahmedabad Chapter; students from Journalism Colleges; and media representatives.
