With a view to sensitise and educate the PR community and people at large, PRSI Ahmedabad chapter joined hands with Mission PenPals – an initiative by Ahmedabad-based WAY Everything Connects foundation. As part of the collaboration, an awareness and sensitisation session on minimising plastic waste was conducted by WAY Everything Connects Foundation – Wricha Johri and Prakshal Mehta. Members and office bearers from across 26 chapters of PRSI participated in the event – physically and virtually. As part of the campaign, all the participants digitally pledged not to use single-use plastic pens.
In the subsequent session, Dr Ajit Pathak, National President, PRSI, talked at length about the role of communication strategies and public relations in communicating sustainable objectives.
